Thought I would share this with you all as I had major problems trying to locate a cheap auto box to sit behind my Rover v8.
Well this is what I found to be the cheapest fix.
Use a ZF4 HP22 gearbox out of a XJ40 Jag, loads about.
Bell housing, flex plate and convertor from a landrover discovery.
As easy as that…….once you know
Lazy, why didn’t you fit the autobox from the Landrover?
The output shaft on the rover gearbox goes into the Landrover transfer box. Don’t think you could connect the propshaft to the output shaft of the rover gearbox without any support i.e. bearing housing.
