ratrod rear axle Well just a bit more work required …

The axle is now in position, had to cut a couple of recesses in the body so to allow clearance for the axle. Will have to spend a bit of money as I need to purchase a length of 140mm x 60mm box section to step the chassis over the axle. Not sure if to go the 4 bar route or ladder bar, once the chassis has been modified sure it will be clearer what route to take. The coil over shocks have been mocked up, just to see what brackets etc. will be needed on the axle.Another issue I am currently facing is  to put a small rake on the stance of the Rat.

Below are a few photos of the axle being positioned.

Well this is as far as I am up to , just waiting for the delivery of the steel for the chassis.

To be continued………….Lazy

Lazy, how are you going to mount the coilovers ? 90 degrees to the ground or at an angle?
You mentioned before that you had a cunning plan for the wheels, what is it?

Your Rat is looking great, have you a date you are aiming to finish the build?
